Rational Entertainment pays off Kentucky

The internet giant Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars both just settled a lawsuit with Kentucky, a state in the United States of America. The two Online Poker Providers had to reward Kentucky with six million dollars for the lawsuit.

This case is now seven years old and the lawsuit started way back when Kentucky lawyers tried to take the domains of PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker. This case caused Kentucky a lot of trouble and bad press because the state had no legal ground what so ever to do this. Kentucky tried to argue that these two professional Poker Rooms were doing illegal business but this just wasn’t the case. In the end Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars lost.

The state of Kentucky has now joined the federal government in another set of several lawsuits. These lawsuits will most likely be in favor for the poker rooms. USA Citizens love to gamble and even if the government says you can’t do something you still will. In the long run the USA will lose against online gambling, you could never stop something as big as online gambling.

The Governor of Kentucky went on to say that he will use the lawsuit money in order to help the citizens of Kentucky on a rainy day.
